The Story Behind Your Witchy Mom
Welcome — I’m so glad you’re here and that I get to share a bit about myself and my journey with you.
My name is Lauren. I’m a Tarot Reader, Astrologer, and practitioner of the witchy arts, based in Central New Jersey. I’m also a mom.
As a teenager, I was fortunate to live in France for two years, where I first became familiar with many of the symbols found in Tarot. Surrounded by beautiful artwork, my imagination was deeply inspired. Living and studying in Paris nurtured my creativity in ways that have stayed with me ever since.
I’m also a solo parent, which inspired my online persona and the name behind my work. My daughter is now preparing for college, and it has been an incredible journey watching her grow, evolve, and navigate the world.
My path to Tarot began with the artwork itself. I still remember seeing the cards as a teenager and feeling completely captivated by the images and symbols, even though I didn’t yet have the language to describe what I was experiencing.
Years later, during the COVID-19 pandemic, I found my way back to Tarot. I was working long hours in county government on COVID-19 communications, and I found myself searching for something that could help me make sense of the uncertainty around me — something that could reconnect me with a sense of meaning and higher guidance. Like many others, I turned to virtual learning and was able to study Tarot with teachers from around the world. I learned about its history, the illustrator behind the imagery that had first drawn me in, the numerology and cosmology embedded in the cards, as well as different spreads and reading styles. The deeper I went, the more inspired I became.
For three years, I immersed myself in Tarot study. I practiced reading for myself, deepened my relationship with the cards, and began creating my own spreads. Eventually, I began sharing readings with friends, who all encouraged me to offer my work more widely. That encouragement opened something new in me. I came to understand firsthand the power of Tarot as a tool for reflection, growth, and personal development.
Over time, I created Your Witchy Mom — a space for spiritual guidance, astrological insight, seasonal living, and encouragement. I truly believe our lives are shaped by how we engage with them. My intention is to offer resources that help you live more aligned with yourself, understand the stars you were born under, and move through shifting astrological energies with clarity and confidence.
I often resonate with the Empress archetype — nurturing, supportive, and devoted to helping others grow on their path.
I offer this guidance through 1:1 Tarot readings, 1:1 birth chart readings, astrology readings, monthly moon ceremonies, and seasonal workshops. All offerings are held online and available to clients around the world.
