Some Full Moons invite us to release.  Others ask us to celebrate.  The Aquarius Full Moon on July 29, 2026 asks us to remember who we are.

Arriving just days before eclipse season begins, this is the final major lunation before the Universe begins rearranging the landscape beneath our feet. It’s a moment to pause before life accelerates, to take an honest look at the identities we’ve outgrown, the stories we’ve been telling ourselves, and the places where we’ve traded authenticity for acceptance.

As if that weren’t significant enough, this Full Moon is accompanied by one of the most auspicious astrological alignments of the year.  Just hours before the Moon reaches its peak, Jupiter meets the Sun in Leo in a rare Jupiter cazimi. Often described as one of the luckiest days of the year, this alignment amplifies confidence, optimism, abundance, and the courage to step fully into your gifts.

But perhaps “lucky” isn’t quite the right word.  The greatest opportunity this day offers isn’t something arriving from outside of you. It’s the realization that your most authentic self has always been your greatest source of abundance.  As we prepare to enter eclipse season, the universe isn’t asking us to become someone new.

It’s asking us to stop pretending to be someone we’re not.

Meanwhile, Saturn and Neptune have both turned retrograde, inviting us to revisit old beliefs, dissolve illusions, and heal stories we’ve carried for years.  Piece by piece, the sky has been preparing us.

Old identities, outdated communities, career paths that no longer reflect our values.  Relationships built on obligation instead of authenticity.

If something feels like it’s falling away, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re losing your way.  It may simply mean you’re making room for something more aligned.

The Last Full Moon Before Eclipse Season

One of the reasons this lunation feels so significant is its timing.  Within days, eclipse season begins.  If Full Moons illuminate what is complete, eclipses accelerate what is ready to change.  They reveal what can no longer remain hidden.  That’s why this moment feels like such a gift.

It gives us one final opportunity to consciously release what we’ve already outgrown before life begins nudging us forward.  Rather than waiting for circumstances to force change, we can choose it ourselves.  Not from fear.  But from alignment.
